Afro-punk Festival wrap up.

-Photo James Spooner, Director of Afro-Punk

From its humble beginnings as a documentary project for Director James Spooner
trying to find himself in the veiled world of music and culture, race and norms Afro-punk has come along way. Joining forces with Matthew Morgan, Spooner began to do more with his film and crafted the festival. Being the 5th year of the festival it exploded from a few shows in clubs at it inception to a huge out door festival, with this year a skate and BMX contest with the promise of creating urban X-games activities in the future. I myself was apart of the background busying myself doing what I can, because that's what I do, helping it run as smooth as possible. I couldn't get as much footage or any interviews as i would of liked much to my distaste. Fortunately I can rely on the community, the bases the roots of the movement the reason why afro-punk exist as it does and continuing into the future, to pick from there resources to help in this wrap up.

I'm really impressed by what people caught and put together like this photo clip reel set to music from pcimprezzive detailing the Afro-punk Skate and BMX park,
