We Wear The Mask, As Do Strangers

WE wear the mask that grins and lies,
It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,—
This debt we pay to human guile;
With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,
And mouth with myriad subtleties.

Why should the world be over-wise,
In counting all our tears and sighs?
Nay, let them only see us, while
We wear the mask.

We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries
To thee from tortured souls arise.
We sing, but oh the clay is vile
Beneath our feet, and long the mile;
But let the world dream otherwise,
We wear the mask!
- Paul Lawrence Dunbar

TECLA's Album, "Stanger's In Mask" is filled with the mask we wear and see in public, from the perfect thin face in "Skinny Skinny" to the sad face behind the insomniac in "Mr Insomniac". The album consist of sixteen of TECLA's self produced and written tracks rangeing from pop to electronic mayhem. Although this may be TECLA's first solo effort she has been on her grind musically for quite some time now and is currently apart of the line of off NYC local group Gordon Voidwell. It's a great start as a solo artist for this talent upon talent. And as a good faith method she put up her album for FREE! So click on the picture below and cop the album.
